These methods help build awareness of unhelpful thinking patterns, improve emotional regulation, manage challenging behaviours, explore conflicting feelings, and strengthen the desire for change. Her practice is also strongly aligned with strength-based and value-based approaches, focusing on your unique capabilities and personal values. All approaches are customized to meet your specific goals and needs.
Additionally, Avery provides support to individuals and families dealing with substance use and behavioural challenges, focusing on establishing healthy boundaries, reducing enabling patterns, and prioritizing self-care amidst difficult situations.
Avery offers individual counselling and facilitates IOP group sessions for both adults and youth. Additionally, she leads PRC’s Family Group.

Brianna LaBrash
BSW, RSW (Provincial)
Brianna is a Registered Social Worker and Mental Health and Addictions Counsellor at Possibilities Recovery Center (PRC). She is dedicated to supporting adults as they navigate mental health and addiction challenges. Brianna has a particular interest in working with women who have experiences with the criminal justice system.

Her approach is trauma-informed and client-centred, prioritizing choice and collaboration to build a foundation of safety and trust. She believes a safe and connected therapeutic relationship is essential for effective therapy.
In sessions, clients can expect a blend of compassion and practical skill-building. Brianna works collaboratively with individuals to understand their thoughts and behavioural patterns, strengthen their coping skills, and develop a realistic plan for their lives.
Brianna facilitates groups within the women’s and co-ed Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), as well as the family group. She also offers individual counselling sessions.

Joseph Schatz

Hello! My name is Joseph Schatz. I am one of the Mental Health and Addictions Therapists here at Possibilities Recovery Center and I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Regina. I am currently registered with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers.

Joseph’s clinical experience includes working with individuals navigating addiction recovery, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. In addition to his work in counselling, Joseph has experience in child protection, where he supported children, youth, and families navigating complex family dynamics, risk, and system involvement. This background informs his practical, client-centred approach and his ability to work with individuals facing high-stress or multifaceted situations.
Joseph also brings lived experience to his work, including personal experience with addiction and living with a chronic medical condition (multiple sclerosis). He integrates this perspective in a professional and intentional way, offering clients a sense of understanding, authenticity, and hope in the recovery process.
Joseph focuses on helping clients develop coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and build routines that support long-term well-being. He draws from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, and motivational interviewing. Through a trauma-informed holistic and compassionate approach, she walks alongside folks on their path to healing, meeting them where they are, encouraging them to reconnect with themselves, exploring re-authoring stories, and get creative with recovery. Jusinda is an Indigenous Counsellor, Facilitator, Auntie, and Beader. A creative practitioner rooted in relational and community care, she has supported folks across acute care, long-term care, and community-based wellness settings. Her approach integrates evidence-based practices, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), to add practical coping skills to their mental health toolbox. She utilizes Narrative Therapy techniques encouraging adults and youth with space to explore personal boundaries and reflect on the systems and world that have shaped them. She offers a non-judgmental, strengths-based therapeutic relationship that honours each person’s resilience, protective factors and capacity for internal growth. You are not a diagnosis, and you are not broken, Jusinda will walk with you toward self-determination.
Jusinda offers individual counselling sessions and facilitates the Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (AIOP) and Youth Intensive Outpatient Program (YIOP).
