I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Saskatchewan with a focus on counselling psychology and brain development. I am currently finishing my Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Regina and I plan on continuing my education to go on to achieve a master’s degree in counselling psychology. I began at Possibilities as an intern and at the end of my internship I was offered a job which I happily accepted. Working as a lead facilitator in the youth program I bring a combination of neuropsychology theory as well as counselling techniques to help participants understand and address their thoughts and feelings. When I was 20, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life as I was a newly single mom. I saw a poster at a college in Warman and walked in to see what I could do. That day, I enrolled for that upcoming September to study and become a youth worker. I knew I could relate with and understand the youth, especially with my own life experiences.
After I finished school and got a full-time job working at Bethany home in Saskatoon, to my surprise, I was expanding my family and in 2017 I got married. I was a stay-at-home mom and ran a successful day home in my home for over 10 years. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching kids grow. My passion is working with children and being there to brighten anyone’s day. When I closed my day home, I got a job at a local daycare centre in Warman. I was the preschool assistant and after school program coordinator.
A couple years ago I decided that I needed a change in my career. I wasn’t getting any younger and went to work with seniors. I loved every minute. Deep down I missed working with kids, especially being there for all the milestones and building the relationships.
I am so thankful for this opportunity to be a part of this amazing team. I look forward to meeting everyone and excited for this new chapter of my life.

I am a Registered Social Worker with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers. I was drawn to this work after coming out on the other side of my own mental health journey. There were a couple of counsellors I had along that journey that made a very big impact on my life and I am forever grateful for the connection I had with them. In my work, I strive to be that point of connection for others and to be a safe space where they are heard, valued, and respected.
In my free time, I like to spend time with my family, friends, and my cats. I like to paint with watercolors, and I love crafting in general. Music is also a big part of my life – there were times I felt like no one understood what I was going through but even then, I found music to connect with.
I am excited to be part of the amazing team at Possibilities and excited to learn and grow alongside the team and the participants.
