Youth 12 Week Intensive Outpatient Mental Wellness Program

The future belongs to our youth let’s empower them to succeed

This program is made free for youth by:

Youth Intensive Outpatient Program (Evidence-Informed)

It is a program less structured than typical treatment options requiring people to become accountable for their recovery, as well as integrate back into the community, school, or workplace while getting the support they need.

The duration of the program, 120 days, is developed around the chemistry of the brain as it heals from substance use. One reason for relapse after 28 day inpatient treatment is the chemistry of the human brain, around day 45 in healing from substance use is when the brain produces the least amount of dopamine and endorphins and one feels at their lowest. Recognizing this and having supports in place at this most vulnerable time while you move towards a chemical balance, is how and why an Intensive Outpatient Treatment program is so successful.

Our program uses a combination of Evidence-Based practices such as: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI)

The Intensive Outpatient Addiction Treatment program consists of:

We recognize the use of a Medication Assisted Treatment Option as part of the 16-week program

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) has been proven to improve outcomes for patients in alcohol and drug treatment. A number of different medications are currently available to assist individuals with their withdrawal and recovery from alcohol and drug use. We follow the direction of the prescribing physician when building a case plan for youth MAT program.

Our programs are based on the CLARE|Matrix Model Program…

Matrix Model treatment program addresses the many factors that contribute to alcohol and substance use. The needs of the persons in care are considered in all of our individualized treatment plans for all levels of care and include the following:

Motivational Interviewing – is a style of therapy that is designed to respect people while helping them move toward making health related changes. This non-confrontational style of therapy creates a nurturing relationship in which people can thrive and successfully heal. This is a hallmark of all Matrix Model treatments.

Twelve Step Facilitation – Research findings show that involvement in Twelve-Step recovery activities improve treatment outcomes. This includes learning about Twelve-Step programs and attending Twelve-Step meetings. CLARE|MATRIX also encourages involvement in other spiritual approaches to recovery.

Family Involvement – The involvement and attitudes of family members and friends can significantly enhance the recovery process. Families are always strongly encouraged to participate in the Matrix treatment experience.

Contingency Management – Reinforcing positive behaviors during treatment has been shown to be highly effective in achieving a variety of substance use treatment goals. CLARE|MATRIX uses this principle in all of the treatment programs.

Continuing Care -People are offered continuing care groups following the intensive phase of treatment. Individuals who stay connected by attending the continuing care groups have a better chance of achieving long-term recovery.
